Central AC units are operated from one fan and one thermostat and cool the entire home to an even temperature across each room, eliminating hot and cold spots. They are generally unnoticeable as a fixture in the space other than the vents seen on the walls or ceiling, which makes them the more aesthetically appealing option. Central air conditioning is best used in large homes or commercial buildings.

Unfortunately, a home will inevitably encounter some form of AC maintenance issue at one point or another. Knowing the signs that it’s time for AC repair will help prevent the issue from worsening. Some clear signs indicating it might be time for air conditioning maintenance include warm air blowing from the vents, weak airflow, and noises from the unit.
